Artistic Vision
Traci Curtis is a watercolor artist based in Naples, Florida, who creates quiet, atmospheric watercolor paintings that invite viewers to pause and remember. Inspired by places she’s explored—and those she dreams of visiting—her paintings focus less on documenting a location and more on preserving the feeling it leaves behind.
Working primarily in watercolor, Traci is drawn to soft light, muted color palettes, and serene landscapes that evoke nostalgia, peace, and connection. Some of her first paintings were of her family’s cottage in Wisconsin. They weren’t about perfect perspective or precise angles, they were created from feelings held close to her heart that she longs to revisit. Those paintings remain some of her favorites. Traci paints places that hold memories and hopes her work helps others revisit theirs. Whether inspired by the beaches of Southwest Florida, the mountains of Tennessee, the quiet beauty of the Midwest, or a meaningful destination from a client’s own life, each painting is created with the hope of preserving a special moment. The canoe waits patiently, the lake becomes still, and for a brief moment the world feels uncomplicated. That’s the feeling I hoped to preserve in this painting.
